Camping trip in Chiang Dao with students and teachers.

As a non-profit, non-governmental organization, Burma Study Center’s programs are sustained through a number of small donations and grants from our supporters. Our head office in Chiang Mai operates on a frugal monthly budget of around $1,000 US, which covers rent, utilities, and salaries for two full-time staff members from Burma. With this amount, we are able to provide more than 100 free English classes for migrants every month, organize capacity-buidling workshops and community events, and share information about the situation in Burma with the rest of the world.

If you agree that our work is crucial and impactful and would like to support Burma Study Center, please consider making a donation of any amount. Donated funds are used to procure additional teaching resources and materials for our libraries, provide further education opportunities for our staff and students, and to offer emergency assistance to migrants and refugees facing medical and personal emergencies through our Compassionate Care Fund.
